Snow Day

Thanks to our unusually warm winter, we had not had any significant snowfalls this year - until this week.  We woke up to a few inches of snow on Monday and it kept snowing on and off throughout the day.  We let Levi stay home from school in the morning so that he could play in it and he had a blast!

It's too bad that I wasn't on the other side of the window for this picture.  His face was priceless - he was so excited to see all of the snow outside when he woke up.

Since Ryan had to get out and start shoveling right away, we didn't waste any time getting bundled up.  Here's Levi all ready to go - just getting one last drink before heading out the door.

Levi wasn't quite sure what to make of all of the snow at first.  He kept walking up and down the driveway watching his footprints.

And then Daddy showed him how to make a snow angel and he started playing in the deeper snow

Ryan helped him sled down the little hill in our front yard, which he thought was pretty fun.

And then the daredevil side of him came out and he retrieved his car from the garage to ride down the snowy driveway.  Good thing Ryan was right behind him and caught him at the bottom (and pushed him back up to the top).
