Memorial Day weekend was the only weekend Ryan was going to be at home for a while, so we planned to spend the whole weekend having fun.
We started at the zoo and it was Addison’s first real trip
since she slept the entire time when we took the kids in the fall. Levi was set on seeing the snakes and the
lions and while we didn’t find the snakes, we did spend a long time looking at
the lions since they were all sleeping right near the window.
We rode the tram, the skyride and the boat. And the kids both loved the carousel.
And, we made a stop at the gift shop on our way out. The kids each got a stuffed animal and this
is the picture that I got when I asked them to show off their new toys:
We also went to a minor league baseball game. We had a really good time although I don’t
think any of us watched the game at all.
Levi now thinks that baseball is all about getting new gear, eating lots
of snacks and yelling “GO T-BONES” at the top of his lungs. We went to the game with Levi’s friend Drew and his
family. Here are the boys cheering on
the T-Bones:
And, we managed to get a good family picture!
We also went fishing on Sunday, but Levi refused to have his picture taken, so you will all just have to imagine him fishing. And on Monday we had a BBQ with our neighbors and played our own game of boys v. girls baseball. We had lots of fun but I forgot my camera so don't have any pictures to share.
